Emir Sulu-Gambari Congratulates Newly Promoted KWASU Professors

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the academics staff of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, who have recently been elevated to the rank of Professor.

 

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari commended them for their dedication to scholarship, research excellence, and commitment to shaping future generations through quality education and morality.

 

This is contained in a goodwill message issued on Sunday by the Emir’s Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona.

 

While congratulating all the newly promoted professors, he specifically commended Professor Sikiru Ottan Abdulrahman (Materials Development, Mining Operations, Machineries, and Corrosion Phenomena) , Professor Lambe Mutalub Adesina (Electrical Power Systems, Control and Renewable Energy), Professor Jimoh Ajadi (Mineral Exploration/Geochemistry) and Professor Lukman Bola Abdulrauf (Analytical and Environmental Chemistry) for attaining the zenith of their career.

 

He noted that their elevation is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride for the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and the nation at large stressing that their promotion reflects years of hard work, integrity, intellectual contribution, and unwavering service to the academic community.

 

According to the Emir, such milestones strengthen the reputation of Kwara State University as a growing centre of academic excellence and innovation.

 

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari urged them to see their new status as a greater call to service, mentorship, and leadership within the university community and beyond saying, “I urge you to continue to contribute meaningfully to research, community development, and national advancement through knowledge dissemination.”

 

He however thanked authority of Kwara State University, Malete for fostering an environment that supports academic growth and professional advancement, stating that investment in education remains the foundation for sustainable development.

 

The monarch therefore prayed Almighty Allah to grant the newly promoted professors continued success, wisdom, and fulfillment in their academic careers, expressing confidence that they will justify the confidence reposed in them by the university and society in general.
