The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has assured the leadership of security agencies in the state of his continued support and cooperation.
The monarch stated this when he received the new Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) Ilorin Zonal Command, ACE I Victoria Ugo-Ali and the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Commandant Abbas Mohammed, in his palace on Tuesday.
He noted that, “As you are protecting against crimes and criminality, may Almighty God continue to protect you. After your meritorious service to Kwara State, the next thing for you is promotion and distinctive recognitions.
The entire traditional institution in Kwara State will support you towards succeeding on your mandates of ensuring a crime-free society.
In her remarks, the EFCC boss, ACE 1 Ugo-Ali recognized Alhaji Sulu-Gambari as a distinguished leader and head of traditional institution in the state with stressing that her visit was to seek royal blessing and support in that regard.
She assured the Emir of her continous consultation with stakeholders especially traditional rulers in the state in a bid to face out crimes and fraudulent activities in the society even as she extended the warm greetings from the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede the monarch.
Similarly, the NSCDC boss, Commandant Abbas Mohammed informed the Emir of his full knowledge of the terrain haven served in the state for about 18 years before his recent promotion and posting out of the state.
He prayed that Almighty Allah should continue to strengthen the monarch and guide him in his endeavours.
