Emir Sulu-Gambari mourns Prof. Lanre Badmas

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed sadness over the demise of the former Dean of Post-Graduate School, University of Ilorin, Professor Yusuf Lanre Badmas, who died on Friday.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, in a condolence message issued by his Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, described late Prof. Lanre Badmas as a world-class scholar and Islamic cleric with significant impacts to the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

Among other notable engagements, the deseased was the Imam of Maimasa Mosque, Chief Imam of Hilal (Crescent) Islamic Centre, Chairman Hijrah Organization of Nigeria and Member of the Kwara State Council of Ulama.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however commiserated with his immediate and extended family members, the entire members of Isale Gambari, friends, associates and the entire University of Ilorin Community over the great loss.

The monarch therefore prayed Almighty Allah to grant the deceased absolute forgiveness, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-janatul firdaos.
