The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has rejoiced with the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Usman Atolagbe Jos, on the attainment of the Rank of Associate Professor.
In a goodwill message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described the Balogun Alanamu as a traditional cheif and academician with ‘excellence’ and ‘valour’ saying “You are indeed a true reflection of Town and Gown.”
According to the Emir, “I specially congratulate the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate, Prof. Usman Atolagbe Jos on the attainment of his new status in his academic career as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Ilorin.
“This feat has further confirmed his commitments to scholarship, mentoring, community growth and national development. I pray Almighty Allah to continue to strengthen him to the meritorious service of the nation and humanity in general.”
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however thanked the authority of the University of Ilorin for finding the Balogun Alanamu among other beneficiaries worthy of the enviable Rank of Associated Professor even as he urged him not to relent in his efforts of promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Ilorin Emirate.
