The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR will turban the former Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulganiyu Saka Cook Olododo, as the Gaskiya of Ilorin Emirate on Friday 18th April 2025.
The event will hold at the Ilorin Emir’s Palace by 10am, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.
Hon. Olododo had earlier served as the Chairman Ilorin East Local Government Area, Commissioner, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Sectetary to the Government of Kwara State among other political positions.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however described him as one of the proud sons of Ilorin Emirate for his numerous contributions to grassroot development.
He therefore urged indigenes of Ilorin Emirate, Kwarans, family members, associates and the general public to attend the historic event of the turbaning of Alhaji Hon. Abdulganiyu Saka Cook Olododo as the 1st Gaskiya of Ilorin Emirate.
The Emir prays that Almighty Allah should continue to foster peaceful coexistence in Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
