Emirate Radio Broadcaster, Oyerinde Najeebat Wins ‘Broadcaster of the Year’ Campus Journalism Award 2025

Oyerinde Najeebat Oyewumi, a student of Kwara State University and a broadcaster with Emirates FM, has been honoured with the Broadcaster of the Year award at the 2025 7th edition of the Campus Journalism Awards, organized by Youth Digest.

The prestigious event, held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on December 6, brought together journalists, media practitioners, and young talents from across the country.

Before the award ceremony, participants attended intensive workshops themed “AI and the Future of Journalism,” aimed at enhancing skills in modern journalism and storytelling.

In the broadcaster’s category, three finalists were shortlisted, and Najeebat emerged as the overall winner, an achievement that highlights her dedication, growth, and excellence in the media industry.

Speaking about the recognition, she expressed gratitude for the platform, noting that the experience and exposure from both the workshops and the award ceremony were deeply inspiring.

The Campus Journalism Awards continues to celebrate outstanding contributions in various fields of media, encouraging young journalists to pursue excellence.
