The Chairman of Epe Local Government Area, Surah Animashaun, has inaugurated newly appointed Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants during a ceremony held at the council secretariat in Ita-Marin.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Animashaun described the swearing-in as a significant milestone for her administration, urging the appointees to serve residents with dedication, transparency and measurable results.
She congratulated the new officials and encouraged them to see their appointments as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of Epe. According to her, the administration will continue to prioritise infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, and overall community advancement.
Also speaking at the event, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, commended the council chairman for what he described as purposeful leadership and urged the appointees to support the administration’s development agenda.
The lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Wale Raji, and the member representing Epe Constituency I in the Lagos Assembly, Abiodun Tobun, also congratulated the officials, calling on them to justify the confidence placed in them and work collectively to deliver development to the people in line with the agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
