Records were broken at the just concluded Euro 2020 final.
Recall that Italy defeated England 3-2 on penalties in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday to win the European Championship.
Luke Shaw and Leonardo Bonucci scored for both England and Italy respectively to make it 1-1 after 120 minutes.
Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho all missed their penalty kicks.
However, here are some records broken at the just concluded Euro 2020:
1. Italy’s unbeaten run:
Italy extended their unbeaten run to 34 matches after beating England in the final.
Italy’s last defeat came on September 10, 2018, in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League against Portugal.
Roberto Mancini’s sides are also the first team to win two penalty shoot-outs at a single Euro finals tournament.

2. Luke Shaw’s fastest goal:
England defender Luke Shaw’s goal for England against Italy in the final was the fastest-ever goal in a Euro final and the fifth-fastest in the European Championship history.
Shaw’s goal against Italy came in 1 minute 56 seconds following an assist from Kieran Trippier.
3. Oldest player to score in Euro final (Leonardo Bonucci):
Bonucci became the oldest player to score in the Euros final at 34 years and 71 days.
The centre-back scored for Italy from close range in the 67th minute against England in the final at Wembley.
The Juventus defender also became the second player over the age of 30 to score in a EURO final, overtaking Germany hero, Bernd Hölzenbein, who had scored for West Germany against Czechoslovakia in 1976.
4. Youngest player at Euro final (England’s Bukayo Saka):
Saka became one of the youngest players in the history of the Euro final after he entered the field at the age of 19 years and 309 days in England’s final defeat to Italy.
Apart from the Arsenal winger, only three players were younger when they played in the Euro final. They are Portugal’s Renato Sanches (Euro 2016, 18 years old), Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo (Euro 2004, 19 years old) and Russia’s Anatoly Baidachny (Euro 1972, 19 years old).
