Ex-gov’s aide accused of sabotaging electricity supply in Kebbi
A top official of the immediate past administration in Kebbi State has been accused by the state government as the mastermind behind the sabotage of the incumbent administration’s efforts at ensuring constant electricity supply to the state.
The state government vowed to punish any individual or group conniving with the officials of the Kaduna Electric Distribution Company to sabotage electricity supply to the State.
Governor’s Special Adviser on Political Matters and Energy, Alhaji Kabiru Sani-Giant, made this allegation while speaking with the newsmen in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi.
The special Adviser further stressed that, “the state government is doing everything within its powers to improve the welfare of its people, hence the need for the residents to complement the gesture.”
Sani-Giant further alleged that, “the former Special Adviser on Power to the past administration was trying to sabotage the present administration’s efforts in providing social amenities to its citizenry.”
He added, “the state government is doing all its best to improve the welfare of its people, so as for people to complement the government’s gestures.”
Sani-Giant also recounted: “We have found out that the former Special Adviser on Power to the past administration, with his name undisclosed is trying to sabotage efforts of the present administration in providing social amenities to its citizenry.
“He is conniving with the Kaduna Electric Distribution Company (KAEDCO) officials to disconnect electricity in some government establishment,” Sani-Giant further alleged.
He them warned anybody who is sabotaging the State Government efforts to desist from any act capable of causing problem, for as from now henceforth the state government would not hesitate to deal with any one found wanting of such malicious act.
As at the time of filing this report all efforts by newsmen to reach the former special Adviser proof abortive as his phone was not reachable and he had yet to respond to the SMS forwarded into his phone.
