Explosion Update: Father, grandson, 6 others feared dead in Kaduna

Facts have emerged on the numbers of casualties recorded in the gas explosion that rocked Kaduna on Saturday. It was gathered that a man popularly known as Prof. Mallam with Energy Commission, Abuja was among those who died as a result of the gas explosion.
Eye witness and family friends said Prof. mallam of ABU Zaria was in the barbing salon shop next to the gas cylinder shop to Barb a grandson when the incident happened.
Malalm who reside in Goni- Gora currently with the family returned from kafanchan early on Saturday from new year holiday and pick the child to the salon located in Sabon Tasha where he lives most his live as an ordinary person for years.
The kid and about six others allegedly lost their lives during the unfortunate incident which took place at ugwan boro, opposite total filling station in Sabon Tasha in chikun local government area of kaduna. Their bodies were dilapidated into different parts and taken to general hospital sabon Tasha mortually in body bags.
No reason has be ascribed to for the explosion, commissioner internal security and home affairs kaduna state said investigations would be conducted to ascertain the causes and actual number of cavities soon.
His family house in Goni Gora has been upturned by sympathizers at the time of filling this report, and eye witness and relation said, describing him as a kind hearted fellow who hardly a fly in life.
The heavy gas explosion occurred in Sabon Tasha area of kaduna outskirt and killed the victims between 1:30 pm, according to eye witness.
On the spot check revealed that one person body was shattered beyond recognition while many are working on the shop I’m the areas are still missing.
About six shops including the gas  cylinder shop were also ravaged by the explosion which occurred around 12noon on Saturday.
Fire servicmen, police and other securities personnel and sympatizers besige the scene of the incident ,located opposite Total filling station in ugwan boro, kachia road.
