In continuation of its efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus infection in the country, the Federal Government on Monday extended the closure of airspace and airports in the country by two weeks due to COVID-19.
Aviation Minister, Senator Hadi Sirika, announced this on Monday his verified Twitter handle.
Senator Hadi Sirika said the airports would no longer open for commercial operations as earlier scheduled for April 23 due to the extended lockdown in the three major cities.
The tweet reads, “As a result of the extension on lockdown by Mr President, it is no longer possible for us to open our airspace and airports for normal operations by the 23rd April 2020.
“They will remain closed for a further two weeks. This subject to review as appropriate, ‘’said the tweet.
