
At the Federal Executive Council meeting jeld yesterday presided over by President Bola Tinubu, the Ministry of Sports Development was scrapped thereby paving ways for its replacement with the National Sports Commission (NSC).

Mallam Shehu Dikko, a former Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League and 2nd Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, has been appointed as the Director General of the newly reconstituted body. 
This move aims to further enhance sports administration and development across the country. Former Sports Minister Senator John Owan Enoh has been reassigned as Minister of State for Trade and Investment.
