Gunmen kill Edo former police commissioner in Jos

A former Commissioner of police in Edo State, Christopher Dega has been killed.

He was allegedly shot dead on Tuesday by unknown gunmen in Jos, Plateau State Capital.

After his retirement as Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) from the police Force a few years ago, Jega returned home in Katsina Ala Local Government area in Benue State .

He was thereafter appointed as a Senior Special Assistant to Benue Governor Samuel Ortom on Security.

Police authorities are yet to officially react to the incident which has throne residents of Benue State into mourning.
