Gunmen have abducted Hon. Laven Denty, the lawmaker representing Pankshin South constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly. The incident occurred at his residence in the Dong area of Jos North Local Government Area.
This latest attack comes just a week after suspected kidnappers struck the same community, seizing a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member and a University of Jos student from the home of Mr. Solomon Dansura. The victims were reportedly taken around 10 p.m. when the assailants stormed the residence.
As of the time of filing this report, state authorities and the Plateau State Police Command have yet to issue an official statement regarding Denty’s abduction.
