
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on Wednesday received the Comptroller of Immigration in Kwara State, Hussain Ayuba, on condolence visit over the demise of the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON.
Comptroller Ayuba informed the Emir that he was at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Immigration, CG Kemi Nanna Nandap.
He described the late Chief Imam as a nice man and devoted Muslim who was loved nationwide for his diligence and fear of God. He however urged the monarch to find solace in the fact that the late cleric lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
In his response, the Emir thanked the Comptroller for his visit stressing that he has started on a good note and prayed that Almighty Allah continue to guide and strengthen him.
He thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for commiserating with him and the entire people of trying at this mourning period.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari prayed for long life and prosperity for the entire officers and personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
