Yashikra Emirate in Baruten local government area on Saturday held the 2025 edition of the annual Gani cultural festival with the influx of eminent personalities from within and outside the country.

No fewer that thousands of men are mounted on horses and dressed in regalia to showcase the unique culture and heritage of Yashikira emirate.
At the event, the Emir of Yashikra, Alhaji Umaru Usman Sarki Sabi-Kpasi II encouraged people of Baruten to develop the culture of love, which according to him will move Baruten forward.
The Emir appreciated the efforts of both federal and state governments on the issue of insecurity, appealing to them to double their efforts to curb the menace.
The monarch then appealed to youth to desist from consuming hard drugs in order to make them useful to themselves and society at large.
In his submission, the Emir of Ilesha Baruba, Professor Halidu Abubakar encouraged the people of Baruten to put aside personal and community differences for the growth of Baruten land.
