Inter Miami defender Jordi Alba has identified Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Gavi as Barcelona’s most outstanding players at the moment.
Alba made the remarks during an appearance on the programme El Larguero, where he reflected on his career and shared views on his former club.
He also dismissed comparisons between rising talent Lamine Yamal and Barcelona legend Lionel Messi. “I think he is an extremely excellent player. But there are other outstanding players too, like De Jong, Pedri, Gavi,” Alba said.
“However, comparing him to Messi? In my opinion, there is simply no comparison at all. Messi is one of a kind and unrivalled,” he added.
Barcelona currently sit second in LaLiga after 12 matches, trailing leaders Real Madrid.
