The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, will on Monday (tomorrow) pay sallah homage on the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, at State Government House, Ilorin.

This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that the visit is part of traditional activities marking Eid-el-Kabir festival which is dated back to the colonial period.

The statement disclosed that, “the Emir will lead traditional Chiefs in the Ilorin Emirate to pay homage on the Governor and his cabinet members and it is expected that he will depart his palace by 10am.”

It would be recalled that shortly after the Eid adha prayers today, Governor AbdulRazaq had led his cabinet members and some members of the National and State Assemblies to pay homage on the Emir at his palace.

“The event will be followed with the annual grand durbar on Tuesday.

“His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari urge sons and daughters of Ilorin as well as residents of the community to troop out massively to witness the traditional event”, the statement added.
