Kadiriyah: Emir of Ilorin reacts to release of victims of kidnap

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed gratitude to God for the release of the Kadiriyah’s family members who were recently kidnapped from their residence in Abuja.

The Emir stated this in a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that, “the unfortunate incident has further rejuvenated the fact that Nigerians should continue to pray for peaceful co-existence at all times.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari who commended security agencies for their aggressive efforts and commitments which led to the release of the victims, expressed sadness over the death of Nabeeha in the hands of their abductors.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari further described Kadiriyah’s family as a valuable and integral part of the Ilorin city due to their intellectualism, patriotism and contributions to the development of Islamic tenets in the society.

He however thanked the entire people of Ilorin, Kwarans and Nigerians at large for their fervent prayers, show of concern and solidarity throughout the period of agony, went through by the victims and their families both immediate and extended.

He therefore commended the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), under the leadership of its National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, for their relentless efforts during the hard and challenging moments even as he prayed that Almighty grant the deceased, Nabeeha Kadiriyah, total forgiveness, accept good deeds and admit her into Al-janatul firdaos.
