Kwara Commissioner Warns Staff Against Absenteeism, Others

The Kwara State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Opeyemi Oluwakemi Afolashade has warned the staff of the Ministry against absenteeism, dereliction of duty, imploring them to be more dedicated and committed to their duties.

The Commissioner gave the warning during her maiden meeting with the staff, held at the conference room of the Ministry in Ilorin.

Hon. Afolashade charged the staff to be committed, diligent, transparent and loyal in the course of discharging their responsibilities.

The Commissioner noted that she has zero tolerance for absenteeism and laziness, urging them to contribute their quota to the development of the Ministry.

Hon. Afolashade implored them to be proactive and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the Ministry and the state at large.

She emphasised that punctuality at work should be imbibed as a cultural discipline by the staff, advising them to work together as a team in order to achieve the goals of the Ministry.

Speaking further, she advised the staff to shun non-chanlant attitude to work, saying that erring officers caught shall be brought to book.

Hon. Afolashade commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for giving her the opportunity to serve her people, promising not to abuse the confidence reposed on her.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Musa Okanlawon Olanrewaju implored the staff to be dedicated to their duties, warning them against acts that can tarnish the image of the Ministry and the state at large.
