Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Thursday expressed shock over the death of Dr Femi Ogunsola, a prominent chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

The statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, reads:“This is a tragic development and a sad moment for us. We are short of words. Dr Ogunsola was always full of life. He was a community leader, a role model to several people from his community and beyond, and an intellectual who served the state at different times.”

“His role as a political moderate and grassroots politician will be sorely missed. We commiserate with the Ogunsolas and the entire Babanloma community of Kwara South, and pray the Almighty God to grant him rest and give the family the fortitude to bear this huge loss.”
