Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed sadness over the death of Alhaji AbdulHakeem Ajibola Akanbi, a son of the late Court of Appeal President Justice Mustapha Akanbi.

Alhaji AbdulHakeem was until his death a director at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

The Governor described the death of Alhaji Akanbi as saddening, coming a few months after the loss of his younger brother and Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University Prof. Mohammed Akanbi.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic development, but we remain hopeful of the mercies of Allah who gives and takes life. As faithful, we are bound by His decrees and pray Him to forgive and admit our brother Alhaji AbdulHakeem into Al-jannah Firdaus. May Allah comfort his family now and always,” the Governor said in a statement.

“Our profound condolences go to the family he left behind. I also pray Allah to grant us long life and good health, and strengthen our faith.”
