The General Manager of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), Hon. During the visit, Hon. The KWEPA boss further urged tertiary institutions to take proactive steps in maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene. This includes effective waste management, regular fumigation, clearing of overgrown vegetation, and timely evacuation of filled soakaways. He stressed that the measures are essential for promoting health, safety, and academic productivity within campuses. Institutions that fail to comply, he warned, would face appropriate sanctions.

She assured the General Manager of the Ministry’s full cooperation and support in raising environmental standards across tertiary institutions in the State.

Both parties agreed that the visit signals the beginning of a stronger working relationship between the Ministry and KWEPA, one that is expected to set a benchmark for cleaner, healthier, and more conducive academic environments across Kwara State.
