Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has dismissed speculation linking him with a summer move away from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, affirming his commitment to the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 24-year-old forward, who scored 11 goals and registered one assist in 27 appearances across all competitions last season, has been the subject of reported interest from Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus. However, Boniface has made it clear he has no intention of leaving the BayArena this summer.
“I’m absolutely certain that my future is here. From my point of view, it’s 100% clear that I’m staying,” Boniface said in an interview with BILD. “I still have three years left on my contract. I want to win titles with Bayer and have a great season.”
Despite a season some critics deemed underwhelming, the Super Eagles forward remains an integral part of Xabi Alonso’s plans at Leverkusen. His goals were pivotal in the club’s successful domestic campaign, and the Nigerian is now looking ahead with renewed focus.
Boniface also spoke about his on-field chemistry and off-field friendship with Patrik Schick, his fellow striker and teammate.
“Do you remember our 4-3 win in Stuttgart? We played together and had one of the best games of the season,” Boniface recalled. “Patrik is a very good friend. We push each other every day.”
The striker’s reaffirmation of loyalty comes amid ongoing transfer market speculation, but Leverkusen fans can take solace in knowing their star forward is staying put—at least for now.
