Man stabs co-tenant to death in Ogun alleging sleeping with his wife

Philip Fiama of Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon in Ifo local government area of Ogun State, who is a shuttle bus driver and OPC member, has been allegedly stabbed to death co-tenant Ikem Chika Emmanuel over the allegation of sleeping with his wife.

Fiama was said to have invited Emmanuel and asked why he was allegedly sleeping with his own wife. This led to a fight in which Emmanuel stabbed the deceased to death. Fiama was said to have give up the ghost while being taking to the hospital and the prime suspect was said to have fled to an unknown place.

Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, who is a spokesperson, attested to the killing, while speaking to our Correspondent on Friday.

Odutola stressed, “the ugly incident occurred on Sunday, January 7th. When a landlord from Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon at about 8pm, came to report that one Philip Fiama, a tenant accused Ikem Chika Emmanuel, another tenant of sleeping with his wife.

The landlord said, “This led to a fight during which Ikem Chika Emmanuel stabbed Fiama on the chest. The deceased was said to have been confirmed dead in one Tamara Hospital in the area”.

“The prime suspect fled to unidentified place and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta for discreet investigation. The police is on the move to tail the fleeing suspect”.
