Nigerian Striker Ogundu Joins Augsburg on Permanent Deal

Date:

Nigerian striker Uchenna Ogundu has completed a permanent move to Bundesliga side Augsburg.

The 19-year-old joined the German club from Turkish Super Lig outfit Alanyaspor, where he impressed during the 2024/25 season.

Ogundu has signed a long-term contract with Augsburg that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2031.

The transfer caps a rapid rise for the young forward, who only joined Alanyaspor last summer from Sanliurfaspor.

During his time in Turkey, Ogundu scored five goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.

He will wear the number 39 jersey at Augsburg as he begins his Bundesliga career.
