Award-winning Nigerian singer, Niniola Apata, has dismissed speculations claiming she secretly got married.
Rumours had circulated that the ‘Maradona’ hitmaker’s reduced public appearances were due to her alleged marriage.
However, during a recent interview on Yanga FM Lagos, the 38-year-old singer clarified that she is not married and has never hidden any such development.
Niniola debunked claims that she kept a supposed marriage secret to protect her career or bookings.
“I don’t care whatever anyone does or says [regarding my personal life]. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever it is I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married,” she stated.
When asked why she has yet to collaborate with her younger sister, singer Teni, Niniola explained that a joint project would only happen at the right time and under the right circumstances.
She further noted that music is a business and should be approached professionally, saying, “There’s no family in business.”
