The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to Army Headquarters over the demise of the Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
The NSCDC CG described the visit as a symbol of honour and respect for the departed National Hero who until his demise was a gallant, dedicated and results-oriented Military Legend, according to a statement issued by CSC Babawale Afolabi.
In his condolence message, the Audi described the late COAS as an exemplary, highly motivated, and very gallant General who served the nation with utmost dedication and relentless determination to salvage the country from the scourge of Insurgency.
He added that the contributions made by the Army Chief has visibly transformed the Nigerian Army to an enviable regimental organization setting the pace for others. 
The NSCDC boss said the entire management and officers and men of the Corps condole with the Nigerian Army at this time of grief and prayed that the Almighty God would strengthen the families of the departed and give the NA the fortitude to bear such an irreparable loss.
His words: “On behalf of the entire Senior Management Staff, Officers and men of the NSCDC we condole with the Nigerian Army, In this time of grief our hearts are with you and we pray for grace, strength and fortitude to bear the loss”.
“We know that death is in evitable for all humanity, but our prayers is that the families and the nation left behind would prosper and that the soul of the departed will continue to rest in the bossom of our father in heaven”.
