His Imperial Majesty, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, will be honoured with the award of excellence as the Council of Muslim Organisations (CMO) holds Special Prayer and National Merit Award on Saturday 7th December, 2024, at the Kwara State Stadium Complex premises by 10:00 a.m.
This is contained in a statement by the coordinator of the organisation, Hon. Justice Idris Haroon, OFR, conveying the approval and consent the Emir of Ilorin, His Highness Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR for the Award of Excellence.
ROYAL NEWS reports that the prestigious award, is organized by the Council of Muslim Organisations, an umbrella body for more than 87 Islamic organizations/associations as established by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin.
Governor Abdulraman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State will be the Special Guest of Honour at the event, while Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, Mai Martaba, Emir of Ilorin and Grand Patron of CMO will be the Royal Father of the Occasion.
According to Council of Muslim Organisations, “His Royal Highness is deeply honoured by the invitation and expresses his warmest regards to your Majesty for this recognition”, anticipating a memorable occasion that would further strengthen the ties between the royal houses.
The organisation also noted that the occasion would be used to raise fund for the completion of CMO Central Mosque and Islamic Conference Centre.
“The Emir looks forward for this meaningful event, where he will join your Majesty in celebrating shared values, cultural heritage and the commitment to excellence that both our communities uphold.
