Nigeria’s leading opposition parties have launched a blistering attack on the Tinubu administration, accusing the government of widespread failure across critical sectors.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) jointly condemned the federal cabinet’s performance, citing insecurity, economic hardship, and decaying public services as evidence of governance failure.
“The government has failed in every respect,” said PDP spokesman Debo Ologunagba. “The ministers’ poor output is a reflection of the President’s ineffective leadership.”
The LP’s Obiora Ifoh urged President Tinubu to immediately replace non-performing ministers, while the NNPP’s Ladipo Johnson called for an urgent cabinet overhaul.
With rising inflation, insecurity, and continued criticism of Tinubu’s economic reforms, the opposition argues that citizens have borne the brunt of what it describes as misgovernance. “You can’t offer what you don’t have,” Ologunagba declared, “and this administration clearly lacks direction and empathy.”
The coordinated criticism comes as the CDCU prepares to submit its ministerial performance review to the Presidency—a report many expect to shape future government decisions.
