Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has paid tribute to the late Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Bola Abiola, SAN.

Osinbajo describe the former AGF as an International Arbitrator even before he became Attorney General of the Federation and then later a World Court Judge.

The Vice President said, ‘I was 30 years old when I was first offered a public service role as Special Adviser to Prince Bola Ajibola, then Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

‘I learnt a lot working for him. Permit me to share 3 defining events that I witnessed.

Osinbajo in his tribute further said:

‘The late former Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Bola Ajibola, SAN, was my mentor, a role model and a man of uncommon integrity who served Nigeria selflessly.

‘He believed that the worth of a person is what he is able to give back to society and he demonstrated it throughout his own life. His is a life that must be celebrated and it is a life that is an example to us all.

‘He was an International Arbitrator even before he became Attorney General of the Federation and then later a World Court Judge. We know that being a World Court Judge doesn’t come by appointment but rather through election by the United Nations.

‘We are thankful to God for all his achievements during his lifetime. We pray that his memory will always be blessed.’
