Popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has revealed that actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele played a role in securing his release after his arrest in Lagos.
Peller was arrested in December 2025 following an alleged deliberate car accident in the state.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had ordered his arrest and prosecution over allegations of reckless driving linked to the incident.
Speaking on Saturday at the premiere of the movie Love Notes, Peller made the disclosure while exchanging pleasantries with Akindele.
According to the TikTok streamer, the actress intervened during his detention and helped facilitate his release.
Expressing gratitude, Peller said Funke Akindele “was the one who helped me when I was in prison,” adding that her support changed his life.
Funke Akindele has yet to publicly comment on the claim.
The incident adds to ongoing conversations about celebrity influence and accountability in cases involving traffic violations and public safety.
