The Permanent Secretary (General Services), Alhaji Ganiyu Shuaib, who conveyed the guests to the ancient Palace of Ilorin disclosed that the visit is part of efforts towards receiving royal blessing stressing that they are in the state on a study tour.
In his remarks, Col. U. A. Mohammed, the Team Leader disclosed that the visit to ensure a successful study tour in lone with the mandate of the theme of the course which is “Harnessing Grassroot Intelligence For Enhance Internal Security”.
In his remarks, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari urged the team to use their study visit to the state to take Nigeria out of security adding that “Nigeria Army is a very formidable organisation that is very germane to the peace, security and harmony of the nation.”
“Do everything within your professional purview to proj3ct the image of the nation positively and respectively by putting an end to the persiting insecurity nationwide. Ipray that Almighty Allah will keep you safe, and healthy throughout your stay in the state”.
The Emir also commended the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts towards fighting insurgency across the nation stressing that security is a collective responsibility that every Nigerians must value.
He also thanked that Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for his swift response in ensuring that Kwara State is free from all forms of banditry which he recently gave the military 30days ultimatum.
