Polytechnic lecturer beaten to coma over alleged organ theft

A lecturer serving with Akawe Torkula Polytechnic, in Benue State, whose identity was giving as Emmanuel Ahime, was on Wednesday, beaten mercilessly over alleged organ theft.

The incident occurred on ECWA premises along Otukpo Road, Makurdi at about 9:30am on Wednesday, as irate youths in thier numbers mopped their victim beaten and stripe him naked.

While the ensuing crises were raging on ,a source disclosed to Royal News that a passersby rushed to nearby police operatives who eventually came and rescued the episode.

It was further learnt that concerted efforts to free the suspect in the hands of the youths failed on deaf ears.

“Consequently,it was uncovered that the suspect’s money was stolen by unknown person as well his mobile phone

When contacted, Benue Police Public relations Officer (PPRO) Superintendent Catherine Sewuese, Annene confirmed the development.

The image maker reiterated that already two persons were arrested in connection to the incident.

She however implored that efforts would be intensified towards ensuring those spearheading these acts will be made to face the wrath of the law.
