Pray for peace, unity, KAM CEO urges Nigerians at Easter
He enjoined Nigerians to maintain peace and order especially during this period of global health challenges in the overall interest of the nation.
This is contained in his Easter Message issued by Media and Public Relations Manager, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Sunday.
He stressed that Easter celebrations calls for sober reflections of the heart and empiricism towards ensuring that the principles of equity, fairness and justice is served to everyone irrespective of social and economic status in the society.
According to him, “Wherever we may find ourselves, what must be paramount is the interest of our country. Factors that unites us a nation should be more paramount to us than our differences in order to achieve our vision and purposes in life.
“There is need for Christians across Nigeria to use the Easter celebrations to thank God for his grace on Nigeria and continue to pray for peace, development and the greater good of the country.
“In unity, we can make Nigeria great for ever. Let’s shun violence so that huge sum money used in combating crimes and criminality can be reinvested into the economy for growth and development.”
He however urged Nigerians to celebrate Easter festival with decorum and extend charity to people on the neighbourhood and the less privilege into the society in line with the teachings of the Holy Scripture.
Dr. Yusuf therefore advised them to always observe COVID-19 guidelines during and after the Easter festival.
