Protesters Storm INEC Office in Abuja Over Democracy Concerns

Date:

Dozens of protesters on Wednesday converged on the Abuja office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as part of the ongoing “Save Democracy” demonstration.

Many participants were seen wearing branded “Operation Save Our Democracy” T-shirts, while others carried red-and-white placards bearing messages calling for the protection of democratic institutions.

Videos circulating online showed supporters of Aisha Yesufu, Mama Pee, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso among those present at the protest.

The demonstration formed part of a broader mobilisation by opposition supporters and civil society actors expressing concern over recent developments they believe could affect Nigeria’s democratic process.
