PUBLIC NOTICE: Emir of Ilorin empowered nobody to sell landed property

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara state Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has warned all perpetrators of land fraudulent acts in communities across Ilorin Emirate to desist from such act.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Secretary of the Emirate Council, Alhaji S.A. Lawal, on Wednesday distancing the traditional ruler from such unpatriotic acts.
“I have been directed by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, to bring to the notice of the general public that he has not authorised or given Power of Attorney to anybody or group in Ilorin Emirate to alienate any landed properties.
“Let the buyer(s) be aware and disregard any unlawful offer and the purported sellers should also be careful not to commit criminal offence, caveat emptor, confidence. Please be warned.”

The statement however urged the general public not to hesitate in contacting appropriate authorities in the case of ambiguities and misinformation that may arise in such matter adding that appropriate sanctions shall be meted on culprits found wanton and violating laws and order.
