England forward Marcus Rashford says he is relishing his new chapter at Barcelona, hinting that he would be open to making his loan move permanent.
The 27-year-old joined the La Liga champions on loan from Manchester United in July 2025, with an option for Barcelona to sign him permanently for £28 million — a fee lower than the £40 million United would demand from other clubs.
Rashford, who remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2028, has reportedly fallen out of favour under United manager Ruben Amorim, making a permanent switch to Spain increasingly likely.
Speaking with ESPN and BBC Sport, Rashford described his time at Barcelona as fulfilling and transformative.
“I’m enjoying this football club, and I think for anybody who loves football, Barcelona is one of the key clubs in the history of the game. For a player, it is an honour,” Rashford said.
When asked if he would like to stay in Spain, the former United academy graduate replied confidently, “For sure.”
The England international has rediscovered his form since arriving at the Camp Nou, scoring five goals in 12 appearances, including a brace against Olympiakos in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Rashford, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa under Unai Emery, credited his recent success to a much-needed change of environment.
“People forget this, but 23 years of my life was with Manchester United. Sometimes you just need a change. I think maybe this is the case with me, and I’m enjoying everything,” he added.
Rashford is set to feature in his first El Clásico this weekend as Barcelona face Real Madrid, a match that could further cement his growing influence at the Catalan club.
