PPRO Kwara Command
The Commissioner of Police Kwara State Police Command Cp Kayode Egbetokun wishes to reiterate once again that there is no FSARS in Kwara State, the SARS in Kwara State Command is fully and completely operating under strict supervision of the Commissioner of Police, they dont investigate cases and could be seen on the street only when responding to distress during emergencies or while performing their core assignments of robbery and kidnapping.
The Command in the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, wishes to also refer the good people of Kwara State to the Command’s previously published Releases where searching and checking of phones and harassment of innocent citizens by police officers in the Command was banned and the advice to members of the public to report any SARS operative seen on patrol searching of citizens phones indiscriminately to the Commissioner of Police through the following numbers 08125275046/08032365122 as the officers will be deemed to be performing illegal duty.
“The Commissioner of Police also assures the good people of Kwara State of his determination to deal decisively with any police officer that goes against this directives like he did to the SARS operatives arrested recently for harassment and intimidation of two young men while coming from an emergency as captured in a viral video in ilorin few days ago, please. ”
