Read what Buhari wrote about late Tafida of Ilorin, Dr. Amuda Aluko
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the demise of elder statesman and the Tafida of Ilorin, Dr Amuda Aluko.
ROYAL NEWS reports that Dr. Aluko died in the early hours of Friday and was buried at about 3.30pm in a prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir, OON.
In a message of condolence to the bereaved family, the Ilorin Emirate Council, the government and people of Kwara, by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
”It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Aluko, the Tafida of Ilorin.
”On behalf of all Nigerians, my family and I send our deepest condolences to Tafida’s family, the Emirate Council and the people of the state.
”The nation mourns with you as you mark the loss of the renowned medical doctor, community leader, remarkable philanthropist and ardent supporter of our political causes.
”May Allah grant him eternal rest,” he said.
