Ruth Kadiri: I Won’t Lose Myself to Fame

Date:

Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri, has opened up about her decision to keep her personal life separate from her professional career.

The award-winning actress, who is also a mother of two, revealed that maintaining a private life helps her preserve her sense of self and happiness despite the pressures of fame.

Speaking in an interview with Jay OnAir, Kadiri said the last thing she would ever want is to lose herself in the process of being an entertainer.

“The last thing I want to do as a person is to lose myself in the process of being an entertainer. I need to be able to keep the wealth of happiness or fulfilment for myself while growing and building what I want to build. And I’m not going to let anybody sway me,” she stated.

Kadiri emphasised that her private life is a source of peace and fulfilment, which she chooses to protect while pursuing her passion for filmmaking and acting.

Royal News reports that not much is known about Kadiri’s personal life, apart from the fact that she is married to a private individual. The couple welcomed their two children between 2019 and 2022.
