Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Alhaji Suleiman Omokayode Abdulwahab on his appointment by the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, as the new Balogun Ajikobi of Ilorin Emirate.
In a statement signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Dr. Saraki described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Alhaji Suleiman’s distinguished service and unwavering commitment to the progress of the Ilorin Emirate.
Saraki noted that as the District Head of Ipaye, Alhaji Suleiman exhibited exemplary leadership, fairness, and dedication to community development, qualities that will undoubtedly enrich his new role as Balogun Ajikobi.
Saraki further commended the Emir of Ilorin for what he called “his wisdom, foresight, and continuous commitment to preserving the heritage and values of the Ilorin Emirate through purposeful appointments that strengthen unity and leadership in the community.”
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the new Balogun Ajikobi long life, good health, wisdom, and strength to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the exalted traditional office, while continuing to serve as a pillar of unity and guidance in the Ilorin Emirate.
