Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Oludofian of Idofian, His Royal Highness Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle II.
In a condolence message issued on Friday and signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Dr. Saraki described the late traditional ruler as a respected royal father who served his people with dignity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to communal harmony.
He noted that though Oba Omikunle’s reign was brief, it was marked by his tireless efforts to promote unity, cultural pride, and peaceful coexistence among his people.
The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin, Dr Saraki, extended his condolences to the immediate family of the monarch, the Idofian Traditional Council, and the entire people of Ifelodun Local Government Area, urging them to find comfort in the impactful life the late king lived and the values he upheld.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the monarch’s shortcomings, grant him Aljanah Firdaus, and strengthen his loved ones.
