Catholic Bishop of Kafanchan, His Lordship, Julius Kundi, said that Southern Kaduna people see Sen. Shehu Sani, a Kaduna governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as their friend and a brother for speaking against injustice meted on the people of the region.

The clergy ade the assertion when the former Senator paid him a homage at his official resident in Madakiya in Zango Kataf local Government Area of Kaduna State.

“The Southern Kaduna zone you’re visiting and fraternising are people who value friendship and does not take that for granted, they reward friendship because they are friendly and peace loving.

“A Southern Kaduna man is a proud man he doesn’t need anybody to survive, all he want is to be at peace with everybody,” Kundi said.

According to him the Southern Kaduna people are looking up to God and individuals who would actually speak for them because they’ve lost their joy, voice, happiness and everything, adding the only thing that cannot be taking away from them is their faith in God no matter what happened.

“The people you’re seeking for support are hurt and nobody seeings to come out and sympathize with them and that has hurt them seriously,” he added.

The Bishop who expressed worry over the incessant killings in the zone, lamented that there was anger in the land, noting that the anger has been taken away for granted.

He added, “I hope that your new ideas will not take the anger of the people for granted. I am assuring you, whoever that will really help us out of this quagmire we’re ready to go with the person because the Church has always proven to stand to whoever that is just and honorable.”

Earlier, Senator Shehu Sani described the predeccessor late Bishop Joseph Bagobiri as dogged and fearless clergy who stood for justice and fearless, adding that he was someone who speaks truth to power.

“I am here to pay homage to you and to seek for your spiritual backing because our State need prayers more than any other State in Nigeria today,” he stated.

He observed that it is evident that the political class need the backing of God and spiritual leaders to free the state and salvage the country from bad leadership.

“We’re at a point in the history of our Country were people are getting worried that the symptoms of a failing State is evident as the crises we face as a people.

“As we move forward to a new opportunity and a new platform for our people to elect a new set of leaders this time around it is not only vote that will deliver us but we also need prayers,” he explained.
