Special prayers for Emir of Ilorin to mark 27 years on throne

Special prayers to mark the 27th anniversary of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has scheduled for Nov. 11, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Emir’s spokesman, Malam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Monday in Ilorin.
Arowona said the prayers for the first class traditional ruler was packaged to commemorate Sulu-Gamabri’s 27 years on the throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.

He stated that the prayers for Emir, who is also the Chairman, Kwara Council of Chiefs, would hold by 10 a.m at the Madrasat Shehu Alimi at the Emir’s palace premises.

”The prayer is to be led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr Muhammad Bashir Imam Soliu (OON), and other Islamic clerics across the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

”The 27th coronation anniversary prayer is to be followed by a special Juma’at service at the Ilorin Central Mosque.

“Sons, daughters and residents of Ilorin Emirate, associations and groups are hereby urged to be part of the occasion.

”We urge them to continue to pray for peaceful coexistence as well as long reign of His Royal Highness on the throne with sound health and absolute comfort,” the statement added.
