Nigerian TikTok sensation Amadou Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, has opened up about her relationship with fellow content creator and boyfriend, Peller, revealing that their age difference is the main reason they have not yet married.
Speaking during a candid TikTok live session on Monday, Jarvis, 23, said she is ready to settle down but does not want to pressure her younger partner into marriage.
“Let us not lie, the age difference is there because I am older and I accept that. I don’t want it to look like, since I am older, I am pressurising him to get married at the wrong time. This is the wrong time for him. Let us be real and logical,” she said.
Jarvis further explained that while she could have already married, she is prioritising Peller’s happiness. “I am not pushing you. I don’t want you to get married and start to regret rushing into marriage,” she added.
Her comments quickly went viral, sparking debates online about relationships where one partner is older. Many fans weighed in on social media, with opinions divided over whether age should influence marriage decisions.
Jarvis and Peller have built a strong following through their collaborative content, with their on-screen chemistry fueling speculation about marriage. She revealed that in the early days of their relationship, she supported him financially while he worked to establish his online presence.
Over time, Peller gained his own popularity, and together the pair became one of Nigeria’s most recognised young creative duos.
Jarvis, who hails from Benin City, Edo State, first rose to fame for her unique “robot acting” style on TikTok during a university strike. Today, she boasts more than seven million followers, cementing her place as one of Nigeria’s leading digital personalities.
Despite her success, questions about her personal life continue to dominate conversations among fans, with her latest remarks reigniting discussions on age, love, and maturity in relationships.
