Oluremi Tinubu

Nigeria’s irst Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated the sum of 350 million naira for the production of a movie emphasising and promoting the culture and tradition of Kwara state.

Mrs. Tinubu arrived in Ilorin on Tuesday on a three-day working visit, ROYAL NEWS reports, according to a statement issued by Olayinka Fafoluyi, the Senior Special Assistant, (New Media) to the Governor.

So far, she has commissioned several legacy projects built by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, including two flyovers named in honour of Emir of Ilorin Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and the late General Tunde Idiagbon.

Senator Tinubu has also been taken on a tour of a few of the other legacy projects of Governor AbdulRazaq, such as the Innovation Hub, Garment Factory and the Sugar Factory Film Studio, where she donated the money and said Kwara State was prepared to cause upset in the country’s creative industry.

“The First Lady has been commended by the state government and well-meaning Kwarans for donating 350 million naira to produce a movie emphasising and projecting the culture and tradition of Kwara to the world. Observers also say Senator Oluremi’s gesture underscores her commitment to the development of Kwara State”, he added.
