Veteran Actress Eucharia Anunobi Recalls Painful Marriage Story

Date:

Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi has opened up about the painful experience she endured during her marriage to her former husband, Charles Ekwu, revealing that she carried most of the responsibilities in the relationship.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, the actress became emotional as she recounted the challenges she faced while the marriage lasted, insisting that her account of events was truthful.

Addressing her ex-husband directly during the interview, Anunobi said: “Charles Ekwu, if you see this video, just know I am not lying against you.”

She explained that despite warnings from her parents about the relationship, she chose to stay in the marriage because she believed things would eventually improve.

According to the actress, the union became emotionally and financially draining, claiming she handled nearly all the responsibilities. “I was the one doing everything. Charles never brought one naira,” she said.
