VP Kashim Shettima returns from Dubai, Saudi Arabia trips

Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after performing the lesser hajj (Umrah) at the Holy Mosque of Makkah (Masjid al-Haram) in Saudi Arabia.

During his time at the holy site, the Vice President offered prayers for Nigeria’s peace and stability, a statement said on Saturday.

The Vice President’s supplications included prayers for Nigeria’s leadership, from the federal to local government levels.

On December 13, Shettima departed for Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the commissioning and naming of a $315 million oil production and storage facility.

The facility, a fully Nigerian-owned oil and gas company acquired by Oriental Energy Limited, is scheduled for commissioning on December 14, 2024.
