Date:

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will begin their campaign at the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship Today with a Group B clash against neighbours Benin Republic.

The match, scheduled for the Stade du Lycee Scientifique in Yamoussoukro, will be the second fixture in the group after Burkina Faso’s Baby Stallions edged Benin 1-0 on Sunday.

Led by coach Manu Garba, the Golden Eaglets enter the tournament as strong favourites, backed by their rich history at youth level. Nigeria have won the FIFA U-17 World Cup a record five times and finished runners-up on three occasions. They have also claimed the continental title twice.
